Find answers about your device, your recordings and your privacy.

Good questions.
Simple answers.

Will it work on my phone?

You need Android 11 or newer and a simultaneous front/rear camera pair exposed to third-party apps. The app checks your device and explains if dual capture is unsupported. A manufacturer’s own dual-camera mode does not guarantee third-party compatibility.

Where are my photos and videos saved?

Photos are saved in Pictures/Dual Camera Go and videos in Movies/Dual Camera Go, accessible through your phone’s Gallery or Photos app. Your photo backup settings determine whether another service backs them up.

Do I need an account or an internet connection?

No account is needed for the app’s recording features. Camera processing and included effects work locally. Downloading the app, sending support email or sharing through another app may require a connection.

Why does the app ask for camera and microphone access?

Camera permission enables the preview and capture. Microphone permission is optional and is used when you choose to record audio with a video. Manage permissions in your Android settings.

Is there an iPhone version?

The current project is an Android app. An iOS version is not yet available and no release date has been announced. Check the Download page for updates.

Can you recover a recording for me?

We do not hold copies of your recordings. Check your device’s Gallery, Recently Deleted folder and any photo backup service you use. Uninstalling the app does not automatically remove completed media from shared storage.

Why do face effects or backgrounds look different in some scenes?

Effects work best with good lighting and a mostly front-facing subject. Fast movement, hair edges and device performance can affect tracking and background separation.
